On behalf of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated  Rho Tau Omega Chapter I am pleased  to welcome you to this website.

Founded in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is the oldest Greek lettered organization established by women of African descent in the United States.  Its purpose has been to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to address issues concerning girls and women, and to be of service to all mankind.  Its national and international programs promote social justice, education, healthcare, economic development, and technology. 

Serving the Warren County community since 1989, Rho Tau Omega Chapter is comprised of women with diverse talents, interests, and professional backgrounds. Each member has a personal interest in Warren County and its surrounding counties. She is knowledgeable of the needs of these communities and willingly serves with her expertise and through her leadership.  

 

Currently, Rho Tau Omega Chapter  is committed to the international program, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood TM, that was envisioned by the Thirty-First International President, Danette Anthony Reed. Through the implementation of  the  six program initiatives -  Strengthen Our Sisterhood,  Empower Our Families,  Build Our Economic Wealth,  Enhance Our Environment,  Advocate for Social Justice, and Uplift Our Local Community – the chapter strives to address and provide services especially in the areas of education,  healthcare,  social justice and economic development.
